About Barang-barang Bonda

Assalamu-'alaikum,

Welcome to Barang-barang Bonda!

"Barang-barang" means "things" and "Bonda" is "mom" in Bahasa Malaysia.

I am Elisa Taufik, and I am known as 'bonda' to my kids.
I am a mom, and these are my things :)

I started wearing the abaya when I moved to Saudi Arabia in 2005. I use to think that it was restrictive and ugly, but I don't anymore. I discovered that Saudi Abayat (the arabic plural for abaya) come in many stylish designs and decorations, it has become a fashion statement for me :)
It is not only comfortable, it also makes me look instantly elegant, and covers whatever I may or may not be wearing inside (or whatever I may want to hide *wink*).

Now I would like to afford you the opportunity to try them out for yourself!
I offer you affordable abayat from Saudi Arabia.

I have 2 types of 'collections':
Budget Collection - Less than RM200
Luxury Collection - Above RM200

I have all sorts of styles, be it pullover or with buttons in front or with side flaps.
I have abayat with all sorts of embellishments, be it embroidery, lace, patchwork or with crystals.
I have all sorts of patterns, be it plain, flowery, abstract or simple.

I also plan to offer scarves, shawls, galabiyas (non-black jubah) and slip-on headscarves (Tudung Munah) in the near future.

All of the items you see here are hand-picked by me, and would be things that I would wear or use myself, so you can be assured of their quality.
Though some of the items sold here are store-bought, there will also be items that I make myself.

If you have questions about pricing, read here: Pricing and Payments.

Do look through the products I have on offer. I am sure you will find something that suits your style and your budget :)

Happy Shopping!

Congrats for the launching of BARANG-BARANG BONDA.

Kalau dah dapat untung boleh beli mannequin(s) to display the abaya..it'll look more elegant on the it. For tudung, use mannequin yang ada kepala saja tu..just my suggestion..dulu I dok berangan when my online shop expanding, I want to do those display-thingy lah but now it looks like the plan has to be put on hold..tak dak masa.

All the best!

Onee,
I had wanted to buy a mannequin, but since I've just started, I felt like it's too early to invest in one.. nanti kalau bisnes lingkup how? ehehe
We'll see. If business pick up nanti, boleh lah beli satu, and bila lebih confident with my Tudung Munah, can also get that head.

How have you been lah? Must be really busy ya? Don't worry about your bisnes in crafts. You are crafting minds, that must be more rewarding, kan?

Salam Elisa,

I baru nak berjinak2 ngan abaya/jalabaya (mana 1 yg sesuai ha...?). I'm a mother of 3 boys & 1 lil princess. My princess baru 6 mths & exclusively bf. So, which type yg sesuai utk I?

MamaAnna,
Abaya is the jubah hitam tu. Jalabiya is the jubah color2. If you are breastfeeding, I would suggest wearing the abaya, sebab most abayas are button front, while Jalabiyas are usually pullovers (tak ada opening, macam baju maxi).
Masa I was breastfeeding, I selalu pakai pants/skirt and tshirt under my button front abaya and bila nak feed, I just pop a few buttons, and feed. I also cover iwht my selendang labuh, lah kan.
Satu abaya tu, I jahit the opening dari bawah sampai to about my pinggang, so that I wont worry about the whole abaya terbukak.
I also have an abaya that ada zip enclosures instead. Zips make it very easy and convenient. Tapi those are Very expensive. Kalau masa sale pun around SR300. If you are interested, drop me an email, maybe I can source for a tailor who can do it at a cheaper rate.
